Cyber security with relation to the operation of PV plants is of great importance at all voltage levels, both for the customer, i.e. the plant operator, and for grid operation.
This webinar will present what plant operators, project planners or operation managers should know about IT security, legally, technically and organizationally. The aim of the webinar is to raise awareness of the risks and to learn about possibilities of IT security for plant operation.
The webinar will be held jointly with BSW-Solar. Speakers will come from Osborne Clarke, SoSafe, pure ISM and BayWa r.e. Data Services.
Dipl.-Ing. Maria Roos, Technical Advisor PV, BSW-Solar
Maria Roos is an engineer for renewable energies and energy efficiency and has been working at the BSW – Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft e. V. (German Solar Association) since 2017 as a technical advisor on topics including grid integration, technical operation and building regulation requirements. From 2009 to 2017, she worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy and Energy System Technology (IWES) as a research assistant in the field of building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) with a focus on building regulation requirements for PV façade modules.
Dr. Karla Klasen, Lawyer, Osborne Clarke
Dr Karla Klasen is an energy lawyer with a focus on renewable energy projects, electric mobility and legal issues relating to the digitalisation of the energy industry.
Her focus is on advising investors, financiers, asset managers, service providers and energy utilities on regulatory and commercial issues in the field of renewable energies. In the area of electromobility, she advises clients on regulatory and commercial aspects of charging infrastructure.
Mohamed Harrou, Head of Global SCADA, BayWa r.e. Data Services GmbH
Mohamed Harrou works since 2012 in the renwabels business and since then he is responsible for communication, data acquisition and cyber security.
Michael Tenten, CEO, pure ISM GmbH
Michael Tenten, Businessman, CISSP and IT Security Evangelist. With over 25 years of experience in the field of information technologies, Mr. Tenten has already held management positions in various industries. Since 2010, he has been responsible for the IT strategic development of the wpd group and took over the management of wpd IT GmbH in 2016. In his presentations, he vividly raises awareness of the topic of information security. Since 2021, he has also been managing director of pure ISM GmbH and has been advising leading companies in the renewable energy sector since then.

As Team Lead Sales Development, Jonas Wichmann helps to develop the go-to-market strategy as well as the internationalisation and is responsible for a team of 12 people. He is particularly interested in the question of how companies can integrate their safety culture into the everyday lives of their employees in a sustainable and entertaining way.
