The Berlin-based consultancy eclareon developed together with the German Solar Association the ENABLING PV project series more than 10 years ago. The aim is to promote the dissemination of PV applications in markets whose potential has not yet been fully exploited. We organise Roundtables in ENABLING PV partner countries that bring together local actors with German and local PV companies as well as with experts from science and education. As a basis for this, we provide the latest information on the potential applications of PV in the partner countries in our Market Studies. As a result, pilot PV Projects such as installations for demonstration, for local energy supply or capacity building activities are discussed, planned and implemented together with our partner stakeholders in the countries. Since 2020, eclareon, ideas into energy and BSW-Solar have been implementing ENABLING PV in Central Asia and the South Caucasus with funding from the German Federal Foreign Office.
With our projects SOLAR SCOOLS and SOLAR UNIVERSITIES we promote the enthusiasm for renewable energy sources among the young generation. All participating schools receive a solar system (installed by a local installer ), teaching materials for school lessons and access to interactive seminars. The main objective of SOLAR UNIVERSITIES is to transfer the know-how of the ENABLING PV project and the global renewable energy transition for the benefit of the participating universities. In order to achieve this, we create a network of universities that will drive forward the energy transition across countries and regions. We offer free-of-charge online seminars on the global energy transition for professors and students of the participating universities.
