Volateq specializes in the automated inspection of CSP and PV power plants with an advanced AI-based software solution for thermographic inspection, fouling detection and cleaning optimization. Our technology transforms drones into powerful tools for field personnel, providing accurate and rapid thermographic analysis that enables plant operators to maximize efficiency, reduce downtime and optimize energy output.
With Volateq, operators gain full control of the inspection process, allowing them to perform thermographic analysis when conditions are optimal. Our automated solution ensures fast and accurate detection of module defects, hotspots and anomalies, providing actionable insights to maintain peak PV plant performance. Unlike traditional inspection methods that rely on manual data interpretation and lengthy reporting, Volateq delivers fast results through an intuitive web application. This includes a geo-localized map view for efficient navigation and coordination of maintenance activities.
A key advantage of our technology is the quantitatively soiling detection of fine dust layers at the cell level across entire solar farms. This allows operators to assess fouling losses in great detail and optimize cleaning schedules, reducing unnecessary costs and maximizing energy yield. Traditional fouling assessments rely on fixed sensors that measure only isolated points - Volateq provides a comprehensive, full-field analysis that improves efficiency and extends module life.
Speed is another key feature of our solution. With the ability to inspect up to 70 MW of installed capacity in just one day, Volateq dramatically reduces inspection times and ensures rapid maintenance response, minimizing energy loss.
In the growing field of agrivoltaics, Volateq is pioneering integrated monitoring solutions. Our AI-powered software not only provides thermographic inspections and contamination analysis, but also enables simultaneous crop health monitoring. By analyzing thermal and visual data, we detect shading effects, plant stress, water distribution and irregular vegetation growth, allowing operators to optimize both agricultural productivity and energy production.
In addition, our technology identifies organic material buildup on PV panels, a common problem in agricultural environments. This targeted fouling detection supports efficient cleaning strategies, reducing maintenance and preventing energy loss due to contamination.
