Individual company presentation

GeoSUN was launched in 2012 as a spin-off company of the Centre for Renewable and Sustainable Energy Studies (CRSES) at the University of Stellenbosch near Cape Town in South Africa. The spin-off was based on GeoSUN’s core service: installing and maintaining remote meteorological stations. GeoSUN also offers supporting services to solar and wind developers of large solar (PV, CPV and CSP) and wind plants including the calibration of solar and meteorological equipment.
GeoSUN has installed and/or maintained more than 160 remote solar measurement stations, many of which are currently being actively monitored by GeoSUN.

GeoSUN is active in several other countries with other services e.g. on-site calibration and the supply and installation of SCADA monitoring weather stations.

GeoSUN offers services such as, but not limited to, supply, installation and monitoring of weather stations (prospecting and permanent), calibration of solar and meteorological instruments (on-site or at our office), PV module testing, thermal drone inspections, supply, installation and monitoring of wind measurement campaigns with use of a LIDAR, etcetera.
