Since many years, the BayWa r.e. Energy Trading has been one of the leading direct marketers in Germany. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the BayWa r.e. group, the company offers a wide range of energy-related services and products, starting with the marketing of decentralised renewable energy and CHP plants and including extensive flexibility management.

For plant operators, BayWa r.e. offers comprehensive services at fair and transparent prices. The trading team of the Leipzig-based company enables the cross-market optimization between all relevant power and balancing markets for generation plants.

Furthermore, other revenue sources such as longterm Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) can be provided to plant operators – also after the end of EEG-compensation or for Greenfield-Projects.

With an integration of decentralised plants into the virtual power plant, BayWa r.e. Energy Trading ensures the remote control capability of power plants, which is obligatory in the market premium scheme of the German EEG law.
