HIS Renewables at Intersolar Europe 2026: More than just components – smart energy infrastructure for safe and efficient PV systems
Munich / Oberzent, 17 March 2026 – At Intersolar Europe 2026 (23–25 June) at the Munich Exhibition Centre, HIS Renewables GmbH will demonstrate how well-designed system solutions make solar projects safer, more efficient and more cost-effective. At stand B4.409, the focus will be on three core areas: PV safety infrastructure, installation systems and integrated energy systems. Live demonstrations, such as an EMS dashboard, will give trade visitors an impression of how these solutions are implemented in real-world projects.
“Modern solar projects need more than just individual components. To operate reliably and efficiently, the underlying technical infrastructure must be designed as a system solution,” explains Oliver Glenz, Head of Sales, Product and Business Unit Development at HIS Renewables GmbH. “From streamlined and safe installation through monitoring to intelligent energy storage, we are the engineering partner for this. At Intersolar, we bring this system expertise to life and demonstrate how our solutions work in practice and create future-proof energy systems.”
Detecting PV faults before they lead to outages
In the field of PV safety infrastructure, the company from Oberzent in southern Hesse is presenting the HISbox product family. The portfolio includes combiner systems with integrated insulation monitoring, fire brigade switch solutions for emergency shutdowns, and intelligent combiner systems with monitoring and communication interfaces. All solutions improve safety, monitoring and operational transparency in PV systems. “We are thus creating a safe PV infrastructure with integrated monitoring and emergency shutdown,” summarises Ahmed Zahoor, Head of Product Management at HIS Renewables GmbH.
Installation without on-site cabling
The second product range showcased at Intersolar comprises prefabricated cabling solutions for solar installations. The HISkon+ copper cable harnesses and HISkon+ aluminium cable harnesses are factory-assembled and clearly labelled, which reduces installation time and minimises cabling errors. “Conventional installations require extensive manual cabling and crimping work on site,” says Oliver Glenz. “This is error-prone and labour-intensive – a key consideration in times of a skills shortage. With our plug-and-play cabling systems, this step is eliminated. It’s faster and more reliable.” This approach supports EPC companies through increased installation productivity and long-term system reliability.
HIS Energy – integrated energy systems for real-world applications
As a third focus, HIS Renewables, through HIS Energy, demonstrates how solar power generation, energy storage and charging infrastructure can be combined into a smart energy system. The focus here is not on the individual components, but on their interaction as an integrated solution for controlling energy flows and optimising the economic efficiency of energy systems.
At the exhibition stand, visitors can experience this system concept through real-world applications: on display are an HISbatt battery cabinet, an 800-V plug-and-play battery container model for utility-scale applications, and an EVtap Duo Pro charger with metrology compliance and an integrated payment terminal.
A live EMS touchscreen uses a current project to demonstrate how energy flows, battery operation and system monitoring are controlled in practice.
“The economic benefits of energy storage systems do not stem solely from the battery itself, but from the interplay of hardware, control systems and applications. With HIS Energy, we combine battery storage, energy management and charging infrastructure into an integrated energy system that flexibly controls energy flows and optimises them economically,” explains Ahmed Zahoor.
