Soluzione Solare is an Italian manufacturing company specializing in solar irradiance and temperature sensors designed to monitor the performance of solar power systems.

The company was founded in 2007 by Andrea Calatroni, who began his career in 2001 as Technical Manager at one of only five solar power companies operating in Italy at the time.

By 2009, that experience had led the company to develop its first RS485 Modbus sensor, the Sunmeter, which was presented at EU PVSEC 2009 — followed by a growing range of other sensors.

Today, we produce a complete range of irradiance sensors, built on a strict commitment to our quality standards and full metrological traceability. We also manufacture temperature sensors and other monitoring solutions for PV systems.

Our R&D team is continually engaged in developing new sensors and new functions, guided by the real-world needs of our customers. This approach led to the creation of the SM3, a highly advanced irradiance sensor featuring innovations such as backup memory, Bluetooth configuration, and a larger PV reference cell.
