ROSI offers innovative solutions to recover highly pure silicon during the manufacturing process of silicon wafers (kerf loss), and recycle high purity raw materials (silicon, silver, copper, aluminum, and glass) from end-of-life solar panels. Our goal is to realize a truly circular economy for the photovoltaic industry and beyond. The high value recycling technology allows the reintegration of recovered materials into several key European industries, such as PV, batteries, and semiconductors.

ROSI’s first industrial line in France is currently operational with a treatment capacity of 3000 tons/year, which will be ramped up to 10,000 tons/year. This is a world-first high-value PV recycling plant at industrial scale. The recycling technology is universal for all types of cristalline silicon PV modules. ROSI is also building 2 additional recycling plants in Germany and Spain.
ROSI’s main objectives include to recover and supply much lower environmental impact materials locally to the EU, to reduce the reliance on Asian countries, and to support the re-localization of PV and other manufacturing industries in Europe.
