Award ceremony for the first time at the Intersolar Europe fair in Munich

The winners of the Georg Salvamoser Prize 2017 have been chosen. The jury has selected three award winners out of a plurality of high-ranking applications. Two main prizes, endowed each with 10.000€, are awarded to the solar pioneer Josef Jenni (Oberburg, Switzerland) for his project „100% solar-heated apartment building", as well as to the holder of the cheese dairy „Monte Ziego" (Teningen), Martin Buhl, for his effort on the way to the first zero-energy cheese dairy in Germany. The special prize JUNGE ENERGIE/ YOUNG ENERGY (5.000 Euro) goes to the young team of prosumergy from Kassel for their development of solar electricity models for tenants. The Georg Salvamoser Prize is offered conjointly by the City of Freiburg and the Georg-Salvamoser-Foundation. The tender is open to individuals, companies, associations and institutions, as well as to municipalities of the whole German-speaking area.
