Intersolar Europe is the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry and takes place annually at the Messe München exhibition center in Munich, Germany. The event’s exhibition and conference both focus on the areas of photovoltaics, solar thermal technologies, solar plants, as well as grid infrastructure and solutions for the integration of renewable energy. Since being founded more than 28 years ago, Intersolar has become the most important industry platform for manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, service providers and partners of the solar industry.
The smarter E Europe is the continent’s largest platform for the energy industry and the ideal place for start-ups to present their innovative products and solutions. There, they can forge contacts with established companies and investors, create business relationships with national and international energy experts and find suitable employees for their own businesses. There are three exhibition packages on offer.
Major potential in Europe and elsewhere: Floating solar power systems on reservoirs and quarry lakes are still a niche technology, but they are gaining popularity and offer vast potential. In October 2019, for example, Europe’s largest floating photovoltaic installation to date was launched in the south of France.
By adding an estimated 4.7 GW solar PV in 2019, Spain is the clear market leader in Europe. According to SolarPower Europe Spain is expected to have a compound annual growth rate of 34% by 2023. A total installed solar PV capacity of 25.6 GW will then be reached. What role corporate sourcing of renewables and PPAs will play in this process will be discussed on May 19, 2020 at Intersolar Summit Spain in Barcelona. Save the date!
