As CEO, Andrea manages and organizes all company activities from investments and
budgeting to strategic partnerships.
With an engineering background Andrea has more than 15 years of experience in the
renewable energy sector, having developed more than 3GW solar energy projects.
Prior to founding vexuvo, Andrea was a Director of SENEC Italia, for which he developed
SENEC Cloud, one of the most innovative energy and service providers in the national
landscape.
Since 2006 he has been a founding partner of Greenergy, a company specialized in renewable
energy and energy efficiency.
Between 2007 and 2009 he held the position of Head of Development for Conergy AG and
from 2009 to 2013 he developed one of the first large utility scale photovoltaic pipelines in
Italy.
From 2009 to 2013 and from 2018 to 2021 he has been a Founding Partner of Solar Konzept
Italia developing over 800 MW of PV plants and authorizing over 400 MW.
Since 2024 Andrea is President of ANIE Rinnovabili.

Auctions and CfDs: The Strategic Role of CfDs and Tenders for Solar plus Storage in the Energy Transition

As merchant and PPA revenues decline amid negative price trends and falling capture rates, auctions and Contracts for Difference (CfDs) are regaining strategic importance for large-scale solar and storage projects. CfDs remain the backbone of renewable financing, providing price certainty and lowering capital costs. At the same time, auction models must evolve to incentivize flexibility and prevent grid congestion. New EU rules permit non-price criteria in tenders and other publicprocurement processes in order to strengthen resilience and support EU supply chains. This session examines how auctions and CfDs can secure clean capacity, integrate storage and reinforce Europe's energy security and competitiveness.
