She has over 10 years of experience in energy efficiency and renewable energy issues. She has developed her professional career in the public and private sector, in subjects aimed at energy efficiency management, collaborating in the design, planning, and development of energy projects.
Currently as Deputy Director of Innovation, she is in charge of the operation of the Financial Mechanism for Solar Water Heating Systems at the Yucatan Peninsula, as well as the cooperation with multidisciplinary groups related to solar thermal topics.
She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where she also studied a Master of Engineering in Quality Systems.
Mrs. Valdés is Coordinator for the Solar Thermal Group within the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Management Committee and Treasurer for the German Alumni Network – GIZ Internship in Mexico.
