Next-Generation PPAs: Rethinking Renewable Procurement with Solar and Storage Projects

My name is Lars Peter Brosk. I am Senior Sales and Business Development Manager for corporate Power Purchase Agreements (cPPA) at LichtBlick SE, one of Germany's leading green power suppliers. My core responsibility is the integration of renewable electricity into industrial and commercial client portfolios.My career can be divided into two phases: Energy Trading & Market FundamentalsI began my career in energy trading with a focus on natural gas and power. Starting as a shift trader provided a solid foundation in how energy commodities are priced, transported, and delivered. I subsequently moved into analytical and sales trading roles at Uniper, where I gained deep expertise in fundamental market analysis and commercial optimization. Over these years, I built a strong and sustainable understanding of North West European energy markets. Sales, Structuring & DecarbonizationA client-facing advisory meeting during my time at Uniper marked the transition into the second phase of my career: sales-always closely connected to trading expertise. I specialized in selling structured products, particularly flexibility solutions, to industrial and commercial customers (natGAS AG).With the rapid growth of the German PPA market starting in 2019, my focus shifted fully toward renewable energy. At GETEC, I successfully integrated high quality green power volumes for blue chip companies. Most recently, I served as lead power sourcing manager at an EDF subsidiary, supporting green hydrogen production through renewable power procurement. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Energy Management from Hochschule Darmstadt. Motto: Green power is key to freedom, prosperity, and the most effective measure against climate change.  

Pieter is part of LevelTen Energy's European team, where he supports both sellers and buyers in leveraging LevelTen's tools and services to transact PPAs and access market insights. With a background spanning supply and trading, renewable energy advisory, and corporate procurement strategies, Pieter brings deep expertise in PPA strategy, RfP processes, and contract negotiations. Based in Berlin, he focuses primarily on the German PPA market while also supporting activity in Poland and the Netherlands.

Nikola Gazdov is an entrepreneur and investor with more than 15 years of experience in renewables. He is actively involved in the development, design and execution of utility scale and C&I projects globally. Nikola Gazdov is the Co-founder and Chairman of APSTE - the Association for Production, Storage and Trading of Electricity - a Sofia based industry group advocating for increased market integration of renewables and energy storage technologies. He is also a Board Member of RPIA - the Romanian Photovoltaic Industry Association. In his role as Managing Partner at Enery Element GmbH, Nikola Gazdov is driving the development of a solar & storage platform exceeding 1 GW in Bulgaria and Romania. He is also the CEO of Renergy - a technical advisory that has contributed to more than 15 GW of RES projects globally since 2014, in collaboration with leading European developers, utilities, IPPs and EPC contractors. In 2020 Nikola Gazdov co-founded RE-Source Bulgaria, a regional hub under the RE-Source Platform, focused on promoting renewable corporate sourcing in Bulgaria and the broader region of Southeast Europe. Since 2010 he is an active member of SolarPower Europe, currently being a member of several Working groups and Committees. Nikola Gazdov is Co-founder and Board Member at FC CSKA 1948 - a professional football club, owned and managed by its supporters. FC CSKA 1948 is competing in the efbet League - the top level of the Bulgarian football league system.

Christian Salzeder is Managing Director of Sunotec Germany GmbH. He is responsible for the Turnkey Segment of Sunotec Group for power plant solutions for utility scale PV and BESS systems in Germany. He is a Renewable Energy Expert and in in the Solar industry for 15 years. He had global management functions in the utility scale solar segment over the past 15 years and is dedicated to drive the energy transition into the era of sustainability.
