Fortis Energy, a subsidiary of UCK Holding, began its energy production journey in 2014. Today, Fortis continues to grow its investments across Türkiye, the Balkans, the Netherlands and Spain.
Fortis currently operates solar power plants with a total installed capacity of 229 MWp across Southeast Europe, producing approximately 360 GWh of clean electricity annually. In addition, Fortis runs five biogas power plants in Türkiye and Serbia with a combined capacity of 21 MWe, functioning at full capacity throughout the year. These facilities not only produce more than 190 GWh of energy annually but also contribute to organic fertilizer production. Fortis is also actively planning for the future conversion of biogas into biomethane, further reinforcing its commitment to renewable energy innovation.
With a total of 250 MW in proprietary power plant investments and over 380 MW of EPC installation experience, Fortis’s completed project portfolio now exceeds 630 MW. The company delivers turnkey EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) services for wind, solar, and biogas power projects across Europe. In Türkiye, Fortis is also developing projects in geothermal energy and green hydrogen. Additionally, Fortis is part of the electric mobility transition, managing over 100 EV charging stations under the Fortis Charge brand.
From licensing and engineering to construction and commissioning, Fortis manages every stage of its renewable energy projects in-house. Earthworks, excavation, and construction are handled by Fortis’s expert teams, while steel structure production is carried out at its own facilities. Operation, maintenance, monitoring, and security are provided through Forcare, Fortis’s dedicated brand for remote automation and advanced facility management.
Fortis aims to develop 2 GW of renewable energy projects across Southeast Europe within the next five years. Its 80 MWp Oslomej Solar Power Plant in North Macedonia and 20 MWp Vedro Polje Solar Power Plant in Bosnia and Herzegovina are already in operation. In Serbia, Fortis is developing 509.4 MWe of wind energy, 314 MWh of battery energy storage (BESS), and 540 MWp of solar power. It also holds 559 MWp of solar projects in Albania and 50 MWp in Spain.Fortis’s long-term vision is to become a leading player in the European renewable energy sector, driving sustainable solutions and contributing to a cleaner future.Die langfristige Vision von Fortis ist es, eine führende Rolle im europäischen Markt für erneuerbare Energien einzunehmen, nachhaltige Lösungen voranzutreiben und zu einer saubereren Zukunft beizutragen.
