He began working in Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior, S.N.C. (BANCOMEXT) in 1996, where he has held various positions such as: Sinaloa State Director (promoting the financing of export projects and the attraction of FDI). In 2008, he was named as a Northwest Regional Director, coordinating the Bank´s activities in four States (Sinaloa, Sonora, BC and BCS). In August 2009 was appointed as a Maquila Industry and Industrial Real Estate Director. He created the program at Bancomext for Financing Industrial Developers and financed projects nationwide over $1.5 billion in debt. In august 2016 was appointed as the Director of the Energy Sector.
He got the bachelor degree in Accounting in 1992 at ITESM with honors. In 1996, he achieved a MBA degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo, USA, with majors in: “Corporate Finance” and “Financial Institutions and Markets”, during the master he took an exchange program at Turku School of Economics in Finland. In 2005, he completed the ”Programa de Alta Dirección AD-2” (Senior Management Program) at IPADE (Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas). He also has taken several courses in Finance, Management, International Business, Corporate Law and Real Estate.
