María Colom holds a Degree on International Business by Universidad Pompeu Fabra and a Master on International Management by CECO-ICEX. Worked at the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Moscow, in a private equity fund in Eastern Europe, in business strategy on a top renewable energy company, as energy policy director at the national solar association and had cofounded a start-up.

She is currently leading the distributed PV and storage business at Engie Spain and has been elected Vice-Chair of the Buildings & Prosumers Workstream at SolarPower Europe.

As Head of Solar PV at Engie Spain, she is powering Industrial Solar Self-Consumption and Small Scale Solar PV Plants with a team of 30+.
