All Hands on Deck for Sustainable Solar Energy

News – October 10, 2022

On October 27, SolarPower Europe and Intersolar Europe are hosting the very first Forum Sustainable Solar Europe in Brussels that will be all about sustainability in connection with supply chains and production, the circular economy and biodiversity measures in the solar industry.

Back in May, SolarPower Europe and Intersolar Europe renewed their partnership in Munich at this year’s leading exhibition, Intersolar Europe. They have since launched joint new initiatives with the aim of providing comprehensive information and many opportunities for networking. Closely in touch with the burning issues of a booming solar industry, the partners put a topic on the agenda this fall that has been of great interest ever since photovoltaics first took off: How sustainably can solar energy be produced to be classified a clean source of energy?

This will be debated at the Forum Sustainable Solar Europe in Brussels on October 27, 2022, which SolarPower Europe and Intersolar Europe have invited to. The forum will outline the current environmental, social, and regulatory standards put in place by the EU and international finance organizations, present environmental and energy product labels as well as biodiversity measures in product development. Another focus will be on recycling and the circular economy of the PV industry, with SolarPower Europe presenting a pioneering initiative to promote transparent supply chains at the event.

And that’s not all: Next year will also see a number of interesting industry events hosted by SolarPower Europe and Intersolar Europe, starting with the Solar Quality Summit Europe from January 24–25, 2023. At this event in Barcelona, the main stakeholders of the solar industry will get together to explore and implement best practices for O&M, EPC, and asset management.

Additional events will be offered to keep you up to date and well connected, with market and industry analysts selecting special focuses that align with the needs and developments in the industry.
