PVRADAR is a web platform developed by Virtuous-Re GmbH for automatic technical-economic optimization of large-scale photovoltaic power plants.
Intelligent cleaning: Fouling reduces energy yield. With PVRADAR you can estimate pollution losses, compare different cleaning technologies and create an optimal cleaning plan, considering different scenarios.
Albedo and bifaciality: Bifacial modules collect light on both sides, front and back. PVRADAR allows you to evaluate different types of photovoltaic modules and compare them in terms of their performance under the climatic conditions typical of your location. In addition, we help you evaluate the economic impact of high albedo ground covers ("albedo enhancers"), which significantly increase bifacial gain.
Batteries: As solar energy becomes more widespread, electricity prices drop during the day, creating what is known as a "duck curve." Batteries offer the opportunity to shift some production to the more profitable nighttime hours. To assess whether batteries are an economically viable option for your project, the potential economic benefits of battery storage must be estimated and compared to the incremental lifetime costs of the battery.
Repowering: the older a PV power plant gets, the more component failures occur. Asset managers therefore have two alternatives: repair the failed components or replace them all at once. PVRADAR makes it possible to weigh the costs against the benefits: lower maintenance costs, improved performance, longer life and more.
