Individual company presentation

SESA has undertaken the development of a new generation of solar trackers driven by an integrated artificial intelligence called AI-powered Decision Support Systems (DSS). Its mission is to autonomously optimize the piloting of the solar field of the power plant by analyzing the data collected on the local atmospheric conditions and the characteristics of the site. The use of autonomous artificial intelligence in this application sector is an innovation that breaks with existing systems.

The generation of relevant information sources is the key to make the AI-powered DSS efficient and robust. In this field, SESA relies on several innovations taking advantage of images collected by sky imager (wide angle camera) pointing to the sky and aerial shots of the solar power plant taken by drones.

Thus, the project led by SESA involves several software innovations from data collection to decision making operated by an autonomous AI.

The original approach in this application sector is the design of a mechanical structure to serve these software innovations. The market players have developed mechanical products whose limitations due to cost cutting reduce the possible software optimizations (maximum speed of rotation, limited number of movements to preserve the degradation of parts ...). SESA is carrying out a project of solar trackers by rethinking the mechanical design to support a higher freedom of movement than the products on the market.
