Optimize to Monetize
As the Sumitomo Electric Group, we look back on a history of Japanese tradition and technical revolution. In line with our corporate slogan "Safe and comfortable life on our green planet", we are committed to developing technology and innovation for the benefit of our planet.
We would like to introduce our latest innovation:
Solar String Monitoring & Analysis System by Power Line Communication.
What is SSMAP™?
SMAP™ is a monitoring device (PV String Monitoring) for your solar plant. It is characterised by its easy retrofittability and comprehensibility.
Using the plug-and-play method, the sensor is quickly (0.5 day/1MW) and easily connected to your existing system. No extra communication cable needs to be laid, which saves time and cost.
What does SSMAP™ do?
SSMAP™ monitors each of your strings, providing a 360° view of your plant. Using artificial intelligence, the health of each string is recorded and documented. In the event of an anomaly, the system immediately reports what it detects and suggests an inspection.
Is SSMAP™ worth?
In keeping with the motto "little things make a mess", we would like to explain the results of our test installation from Dürbheim:
SSMAP™ identified here that 55 strings were not running correctly. This resulted in an annual energy loss of 227 MWh.
Expressed in monetary terms: a loss of 64,683 €.
True to the motto "Optimise to monetise", we would like to offer you a simple and cost-effective way to optimise your solar park with SSMAP™. SSMAP™ can be adapted to your individual needs and we would be happy to explain the system to you personally. Please find attached our product brochure.
