What you can expect

• As Global Sourcing Manager, you take responsibility for the strategic orientation of the commodity groups assigned to you and develop innovative and customized sourcing strategy(s), which you plan and implement in close cooperation with operational purchasing and the other specialist and interface departments.
• You identify global sourcing sources and acquire new partners taking into account the previously defined sourcing strategy(s) in order to secure long-term competitiveness and supply capability and to create optimal cost structures.
• You focus your analysis on the development of global procurement markets and exploit the group-wide bundling and optimization potentials in the best possible way. You sharpen your understanding of the (industry) specific risks along the global supply chains and develop concepts to avoid or minimize them.
• You are responsible for the continuous development of the supplier portfolio and know how to build partnership relationships with contacts along the different organizational structures and in a multicultural environment.
• You work closely with the international sales units and coordinate between the strategically selected suppliers and the technical and interface departments. You ensure market-driven, binding offers already in the early bidding phase and thus lay important foundations for the later, successful project execution.
• You will independently conduct negotiations on conditions and prices, which you will conclude in sustainable framework agreements, taking into account the continuous growth of the company and the group-wide capacity planning.
• You establish standards and evaluate suppliers and their performance characteristics in order to ensure and continuously develop a successful and goal-oriented cooperation in the long term.
• You lead projects for process and cost optimization and actively shape the procurement processes with the integration of the defined sourcing strategy(s). You ensure that the agreed KPIs are met

What you bring with you

• Completed studies in the field of business administration or engineering or comparable professional trainin
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in supply chain with focus on sourcing as well as profound knowledge in international and strategic sourcing
• Analytical skills as well as strong negotiation skills and results orientation
• Proven track record in the implementation of international sourcing initiatives
• Outstanding teamwork and communication skills as well as a self-reliant and very structured way of working
• Entrepreneurial thinking and acting combined with an enormously strategic market orientation
• Confident handling of common MS-Office tools and good IT skills
• Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
• Experience in the PV industry or in project purchasing is a plus
