The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE in Freiburg is the largest solar research institute in Europe. Our approximately 1,400 employees work towards a sustainable, economic, secure and socially just energy supply system based on renewable energies. We contribute to this with our main research areas of energy supply, energy distribution, energy storage and energy use. What you do:

As a researcher, you will be involved in our various projects on the following topics

• Photovoltaics
• Energy efficient buildings
• Solar thermal power plants and industrial processes
• Hydrogen technologies
• Electrical energy storage
• Power electronics, grids and intelligent systems

• Your tasks also include the continuous further development of the technologies, taking into account current market developments.
• You evaluate scientific results and present them in scientific journals and at national and international conferences.
• You supervise students in the context of theses and internships.

What you bring to the table:

• You have completed a university degree in the STEM field.
• You find one of the above-mentioned fields exciting and would like to actively shape them as a researcher:
