Photovoltaic technology deployment rate increases with further cost reduction and an increase in device energy conversion efficiency values. In the 14th edition of the International Technology Roadmap for Photovoltaic 2023, a historical average price learning rate of 24.4% is calculated for every doubling of cumulative PV module shipment. Apart from the technological advancement, domestic manufacturing of PV within Europe has become an important topic of discussion especially after experiencing the impact of COVID19 and geopolitical instability on supply chain disruptions.

What are the current wafer, cell and module technology trends considered for GW-scale manufacturing? What should be done to strengthen the PV Manufacturing Renaissance in Europe? What are clear bottlenecks and obstacles for the faster expansion of manufacturing capacity? All those are topics to be discussed in the expert panel, considering the ITRPV 2023 results, and the current status and future plans of leading companies in the field.
