Jörg Janning began his career at Daimler Chrysler Research with a focus on Power Electronic Control and Systems. In parallel to this work he wrote his Ph.D. thesis on Deutsche Bahn Static Frequency Converters mentored by the TU Clausthal.
In 1998 he joined ALSTOM in Berlin as a team leader focusing on medium voltage power electronic systems. 2004 he has been the R&D Manager for the CEER region of Converteam. This team was dedicated to the Power Electronic development for low and medium voltage applications.
After the acquisition he started 2012 as Chief Consulting Engineer for GE Power Conversion and is now in 2014 in the role of an Executive Engineering.
Jörg earned his BS and Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dortmund in Germany.
