Prof. Dr. rer. Nat. Ulrike Feistel teaches at the Division of Water Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences Dresden (HTWD). She is a hydrologist by education. Following her PhD in environmental sciences she was involved in international research on climate change at the Centre de Recharge Eco-Geographic, France. She worked as GIS specialist on flood mapping projects for WASY Ltd, Germany and for 11 years for the Water and Environmental Department of Mott MacDonald, UK on various projects. As senior hydrologist she was leading a wide range of flood and water management projects. She also managed contracts for Mott MacDonald. Since 2012, Prof Feistel has been working on various international research studies at the HTWD. She is managing the Master programme Environmental Engineering where the focus of her teaching activities lays.
