Merry Christmas

Is the glass half full or half empty? This metaphor symbolizes optimism versus pessimism. In 2022, the global community has been deeply shaken by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The energy world was thrown into turmoil over night. That being said, energy shortages and the skyrocketing prices of oil and gas have set something in motion that the climate crisis had been slow to accomplish: The expansion of renewables has taken up great speed. The International Energy Agency (IEA) expects global capacity growth to nearly double by 2027. This massive rise exceeds last year’s forecast by 30%. According to the IEA , renewables will account for more than 90% of global electricity expansion in the next five years.

The COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing energy crisis have brought home that so much is possible – if only we have the will. That is why to us, the glass is half full. Events around the globe are reflecting that renewables are reeling to go, just like Santa’s reindeer. And like dinosaurs, fossil fuels will soon be a thing of the distant past.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your commitment to accelerating the transition to the new energy world, and wish you a peaceful holiday season. Join us in starting 2023 with optimism, as the year in which we take another great step towards a climate-neutral energy supply!
