What is the Exhibitor Cockpit and how can I use it effectively?
The Exhibitor Cockpit is an online exhibitor services tool available to all registered exhibitors. The Exhibitor Cockpit is a password-protected area in which you can book various services and see all important event information in one place. Personal access information is automatically sent out to the company’s main contact person for Intersolar Europe (as indicated on the application form). The password gives you direct access to the data provided by your company and your co-exhibitors. To log-in, click on the Exhibitor Cockpit under the Exhibitor Service navigation tab. Note: Exhibitor listings for each new event-year are posted online in January 2012.

What is the difference between the Exhibitor Service Manual and the Exhibitor Cockpit, and why do we need a password for the latter?
The Exhibitor Service Manual contains the technical services offered to exhibitors, such as booth construction, electricity, security and parking permits for example. These services are provided by contractual partners of the Munich Trade Fair Centre, and are arranged directly between you and the Munich Trade Fair Centre or their service providers.
Service Manual Functions
You will find information relating to technical services at the Munich exhibition grounds (booth construction, parking permits, electricity, booth surveillance etc.) in the Intersolar Europe exhibitor service manual. This will be published
online from January 2012 at www.intersolar.de under the Exhibitor Service section (no password required).
Where do I submit my Exhibitor Index and Event Directory entries?
Exhibitors may edit or complete their company information (for the printed Event Directory as well as for the Online Exhibitor Index) online under the Exhibitor Index menu option within the Cockpit. Note: There are two separate areas to enter your online and print company profile. Characters for the online profile are not limited. However, characters for print entries are limited to 256. Exhibitors have until the end of March to enter their Event Directory information. No changes for the printed directories will be accepted after. Changes will still be possible for online entries.
How can I order exhibitor passes?
A quota of exhibitor passes in proportion to the size of your booth is available free of charge. All passes, including those at no cost, must be ordered via the Exhibitor Cockpit. You may either have the passes sent to you (delivery 4–6 weeks before the exhibition, provided booth rental has been paid) or collect them on site from the exhibitor service (available from the beginning of the set-up period on June 10, 2012 outside Hall B2, atrium side). You can obtain additional passes from here at any time during set-up and the exhibition.
What access authorization do we require? What validity do exhibitor passes have?
No passes are required for setting up your booth. You will need exhibitor passes for the duration of the exhibition. A quota of exhibitor passes in proportion to the size of your booth is available free of charge. All passes, including those at no cost, must be ordered via the Exhibitor Cockpit. You may either have the passes sent to you (delivery 4–6 weeks before the exhibition, provided booth rental has been paid) or collect them on site from the exhibitor service office (available from Sunday before the exhibition starts (outside Hall B2, atrium side). You can obtain additional passes from here at any time during set-up and the exhibition. The exhibitor passes are non-transferable, but are not personalized before the exhibition. A list of those running your booth is therefore not necessary. The exhibitor passes are valid for entry to the exhibition up to two hours before and one hour after the visitor opening hours on each day.
Does my exhibitor pass allow entry into the Intersolar conference?
No, an exhibitor pass does not grant you access to the conference. You must register separately for conference programs. Program registration for both Intersolar Europe conference sessions and events opens in March.
Are promotional activities or giveaways allowed at booths or around the exhibition floor?
Promotional activities and giveaways are only allowed within your immediate booth area. Any mobile promotion or giveaways outside your booth and around the exhibition floor are strictly prohibited.
Are there meeting rooms available to be booked? How can I book?
Yes, there are a few meeting rooms available, located above the exhibition halls in Munich. The rooms can be booked on a half-day and daily basis. Exhibitors are responsible for arranging their own catering, audiovisual and security needs directly through Messe München International and its contracted vendors. Note: Meeting rooms are only available to exhibiting companies.

What rules apply to booth construction and how high may the booth be?
Both the general and special terms of business of Intersolar Europe and the technical guidelines of the Munich Trade Fair Centre apply to booth construction. These can be found on your registration form as well as on the websites of Intersolar Europe and the Munich Trade Fair Centre. In general, booths over three meters in height require approval. Approval via Technical Team 2 of the Munich Trade Fair Centre – contact details can be found under Intersolar Team.
The maximum construction height at Intersolar Europe is 7.5 m. This height is not possible in all locations. At booth boundaries, booths may be built to a maximum of 6 m in height without the consent of neighboring exhibitors, and up to 7.5 m in height at 2 m from the boundary. The backs of booth walls facing neighboring booths must be covered and completely neutral from a height of 2.5 m and above. Deviations from this will of course be permitted upon presentation of written consent from neighboring booth holders.
